I will dominate 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers met for the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
